Process Improvement & Documentation
I help organizations and business owners upgrade their processes and get more done.
So much more, in fact, that they wonder how they did things “the old way” for so long.
So much more, in fact, that they wonder how they did things “the old way” for so long.
It’s a sign that your processes are inefficient, outdated, and slowing things down. Which means more errors, less productivity, less enthusiasm, and less results.
Maybe you’ve been wanting to find a better way to do things, but you don’t have time. Process improvement always gets put on the backburner or tossed in the junk drawer for a rainy day that never comes.
Meanwhile, you and your employees are suffering as you do things the way they’ve always been done…
Perhaps systems haven’t been overhauled since the inception of the company…
Or maybe your company has grown too fast for processes to catch up.
Whatever the reason, there’s nothing worse than knowing there’s a better way to do things, but lacking the energy and time to research solutions.
Because after all, there are deadlines to meet and fires to be put out.
Nevertheless, you want your company, organization or business to run like a well-oiled machine.
And you want your employees to be happy and productive, not watching the clock and dreading the work.
Early in my career, I’d have the same frustrating experience over and over again. I’d get hired at a company and fall out of love with the job out of sheer boredom, usually within 6 months.
Not because I wasn’t willing to do the work, and not because I was in the wrong career, but because I was actually “too efficient.”
It was in my nature to streamline and upgrade tasks, and, before I knew it, a 40 hr/week job turned into a 20/hr per week job, and I’d have nothing to do. I’d constantly be asking my managers what else I could help them with.
This happened over and over.
Luckily, Target saw my talent for making processes more efficient, and gave me their most difficult projects… the ones no one had time or patience for.
As a result, I got even better at process improvement. To this day, my claim to fame amongst former colleagues at Target is taking a 3-day, grueling payroll activity that no one wanted to do, and shaving it down to 2 hours.
NOT by cutting corners or being lazy. But by researching, learning, and doing the heavy lifting to implement processes that got results faster.
For a long time, I took my desire for organization and efficiency for granted, because I thought everyone worked this way… and later realized just how rare it is for someone to examine their duties, find better ways of doing things, and revolutionize the job.
Every company I’ve been employed by got more efficient, and I was able to transform tasks to save them money and time.
Now I do this for a living.
I improve everything from Excel spreadsheets, to payroll, to idea and initiative implementation.

Testimonials
“Sarah was a great asset to us while recreating one of our main internal processes. Her outside perspective was invaluable. She continuously helped us get out from under our own biases, allowing us to see solutions we didn’t realize were possible. Others have come in to help us with our systems and processes, but they have been unable to deliver. Sarah listened to our unique needs, helped us organize and develop our thoughts, which enabled us to FINALLY develop a working and efficient process in an area that has been a thorn in our side for years. She also provided us with a tangible deliverable that will be used to train and develop our staff for years to come.”
– Steve Albers, COO, The Servion Group
“Sarah uses her skills to produce creative, efficient tools and solutions for problems felt by her business partners. On numerous occasions, she was solely responsible, or the main catalyst for the automation of day-to-day processes which saved the corporation hundreds of hours of manual effort while resulting in greater compliance to best-practices.”
– Zach Osborne, Senor SAP Business Analyst at Jack’s Link Protein Snacks
“Sarah was helpful with the big picture and in the details that we needed for helping our company become organized and well-documented. With the half-day, we went over all of our important processes, possible gaps, came up with solutions together with our staff, and implemented action items. Her expertise in organizational skills is evident, and I appreciated her ability to create an inviting and effective group work space. I hope to work with her again as we continue to expand and increase our employees and processes.”

However, both time management and energy management are essential to productivity. They complement each other. continue reading
